






BIOGRAPHY
Edward started his musical career as a Chorister at Chester Cathedral Choir under the supervision of Roger Fisher and then David Poulter. As a chorister Edward performed in many venues around the UK and abroad, including a solo performance at the MEN arena in Manchester in front of 10,000 people and a duet at the Manchester Apollo theatre with Sarah Brightman. He played the lead role of Amahl in ‘Amahl and the Night Visitors’ and reached the final of the BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year. He has sung solos in St Patrick’s Cathedral New York and St Paul’s Cathedral London.
Edward received an exhibition award for singing from Trinity Guildhall for achieving the highest mark in the world for grade 6 at age 12. He won the Margaret Caven House Music Competition and is a scholar of the People to People association in Cheshire.
Edward studied at the Royal College of Music, London studying for a Bmus degree under the tuition of Russell Smythe and Stephen Roberts. He was involved in the production of a Japanese opera of Macbeth at the Britten Theatre. He has recently sung with the Ionian singers conducted by Timothy Salter, was the bass soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the conductor Paul Spicer and performed at the 100 year old Petersfield Festival in Hampshire, singing the bass solo, in Bach’s Wachet auf, ruft uns die stimme. Edward also sang a solo at the Royal Albert Hall to raise money for the school children from the borough of Kensington and Chelsea in front of 5,500 people. Edward is currently one of a handful of singing teachers in Chester and is in great demand in the area.
Edward’s past performances include Duruflé’s Requiem, Britten’s Rejoice in the lamb, Mozart’s Requiem and Schumann’s Liederkreis.
